Menu Planning

Menu planning is easy to do with practice. If you condition yourself to take time on Sunday or your day off durring the week, and write down what you would like to create for your faily. It is a good idea to write out a menu and plan ahead. You can flip flop days if things happen in between. Planning a menu allows you to have certain nights for easy left over recreations. Set aside storage containers while prepping so when supper is finished you can eaisly store your mels for lunch at work or at home.

One a piece of paper any kind take a black marker and create a list of the week and jot down what you would like to make that week. For instance Wednesday in my home is Italian Night! I revert to my blog for easy meal ideas. www.countryboots1268-myblogging.blogspot.com and choose a meal idea. Then I go through the pantry to make sure I have each key item to create the meal. Sunday works best for me. Then we pick up the missing items at the market. I check the flyers before I shop and write down what store the item was on sale at. If I have a coupon I fish through for it moving it to the front of the envelope. People ask me why I'm a good cook all the time. I reply, "Because I am lousy at house keeping!" Below is an example you may follow to create a menu for that week. This is also good for singles. You can make a family size dish and freeze or store for lunches and quick meals during the week. Saves time and money!

Sunday Chicken Roast

Monday Taco Chicken Bake

Tuesday Meatloaf and potatoes

Wednesday Baked Lasagna with garlic bread

Thursday Pork chops baked with broccoli

Friday Pizza

Saturday Grilled or Broiled Steaks with potatoes and favorite veggies.

Be creative and "Let's Get Cooking!"
